Open the app and choose Sign in with Google or Sign in with Apple. Your account is created automatically with no separate password. You can set your location and language right after signing in.

During onboarding, allow location access so prayer times and the qibla direction stay accurate. If you'd rather not share your location automatically, go to Settings › Location and enter your city manually.

Indonesian, English, Malay, and Arabic are available. Change it in Settings › Language; the change applies immediately without reloading.

Times are calculated from your location. Make sure location permission is on and accurate, then check the calculation method in Settings — pick the one that fits your region (e.g. Kemenag for Indonesia). A difference of a few minutes between methods is normal.

Go to Settings › Prayer Times to choose a method (Kemenag, MWL, Umm al-Qura, etc.) and the madhhab for the Asr time. You can also add a manual minute adjustment per prayer.

Open the Qur'an menu to read the text, tafsir, and per-verse audio. Tap the bookmark icon to save a verse to your collection, and pick up where you left off anytime.

The compass relies on your phone's magnetometer. Calibrate it by moving your phone in a figure-8 motion, keep it away from metal/magnetic objects, and make sure location permission is on.

Open Dhikr & Tasbih, set a target count, then tap to count. Your count saves automatically, and you can enable vibration to mark each milestone.

Enable The Muslim's notifications in Phone Settings › Notifications, then in the app make sure the adhan is turned on for each prayer. On Android, exclude the app from battery saver so reminders aren't delayed.

In Settings › Notifications, choose the adhan sound and turn reminders on or off for each prayer individually, including Imsak and Syuruk (sunrise) reminders.

Open a user's profile and tap Chat. Messages are real-time with online, typing, and read indicators.

Tap the three-dot menu on a post, profile, or chat, then choose Report or Block. Reports are reviewed by our moderation team.

A consultation service that connects you with a verified Ustadz over chat. This feature is in the works and will roll out gradually.

Prospective scholars submit a bio, areas of expertise, and credentials. Our team reviews them before granting a verified badge (✓). Answers are general guidance, not a substitute for official fatwa authorities.

Premium brings an ad-free experience plus select content and features. The latest benefits are listed on the subscription page inside the app.

Open Premium in the app, choose a plan, then complete payment through the App Store or Google Play (depending on your device). Billing is handled by the respective store.

Subscriptions are managed through your store account. Go to App Store/Google Play Settings › Subscriptions › The Muslim › Cancel. Premium access stays active until the end of the period you've already paid for.

Because payments are processed by the App Store/Google Play, refund requests follow each store's own policy. If you run into trouble, reach us in the contact section.

Open Charity & Waqf, choose a program, enter an amount, then complete payment. You'll receive a confirmation once your donation goes through.

Your donation history and receipts are available in your profile. Distribution is carried out through partner institutions; a brief program report is shown when available.

Curated halal products like dates, honey, prayer essentials, and Muslim clothing, plus Umrah/Hajj and Qurban packages — with in-app seller chat. This feature is under development.

Go to Profile › Edit to update your name, photo, and preferences. Your account email follows the login provider (Google/Apple) you use.

Go to Settings › Account › Delete Account. Deletion is permanent and removes your personal data in line with our Privacy Policy, except data we're legally required to keep.

This includes account data, location (for prayer times & qibla), device information, and usage activity. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.
